The 1st independence anniversary

During this one year, we have been witness of this new nation's country building process.

We should remind ourselves(both South Sudanese & Internationals) what South Sudanese people hoped and wished today one year ago for this new nation.

TTI in action!

Before we reach office, we stop at Teachers Training Institute (the facility which we handed over last Sept).

Still the full operation was not started yet, I saw the local ministry of Education was holding intensive English course for teachers who came back from North, where normally people doesn't speak English but mainly Arabic.

Good initiative!!

When we arrived, it was break time.

This is exactly one of my image of Hokkaido, even I've never been there though...

I hope I can visit Hokkaido someday. I wanna eat Kaisen-don(A bowl of rice with fresh seafood sashimi!) there!! ;-)


But let me remind. This is outskirt of Aweil, Northern Bahl el Ghazal State in South Sudan!

On the way back, after the lunch in the market, we had a nice tea/coffee/hot milk!
The hot milk here tasted very nice with some spices.

Actually, I tried to go back the same tea shop, but couldn't find it...

I ordered fried chicken as a safe choice.
The lentil which came as a side dish tasted great! (it was better with much less oil for me though...)

Is it possible to switch cows and cars as boys' item in South Sudan?

Boys are always with their own "pet" either cows or cars in this country ;-)

If we can switch the value of cows to cars, no more cattle raiding? Or more car-jacking instead!??
