Farewell dinner at River Nile

 

Last night, we had a farewell dinner for JP intelligence team who were working for UNMISS(PKO mission in South Sudan) as secondment.

They were the first JP deployment for UNMISS from Japan. After 6 months, they rotate the staff member and now it's time for the first team to go back to Japan.

For me, since it is my first experience to see Japanese deployment for PKO mission on the site, it has been quite good experience to learn how it works, even seeing from outside. 

Especially the collaboration project with Japanese Self Defense Force(Jieitai) as part of UNMISS, it has been quite enriching experience for me to learn how such joint project with external organization works by hands-on.

Most of my energy is now spent for logistical arrangement though...
