World Refugee Day at Gorom Refugee Settlement (Annuak Refugee from Ethiopia)

Today, it was World Refugee Day.

I cerebrated the day with Annuak Refugees at Gorom Refugee Settlement in the morning
and with Nuba Refugees in town in the afternoon.

For me, what always encourages me is that we have many colleague at UNHCR who used to be refugees in the past. It is very encouraging and bright message than anything - they became UNHCR staff because they were supported by UNHCR in the past and they want to return the same to someone who is now a refugee.



No one chooses to be a refugee.
